SOUND ATTENUATING CUBICLES

We have several surplus sound attenuating cubicles that aren’t part of our standard offering on sale. These cubicles are available at a special price, and they may be just what you were looking for to isolate that extra chamber or other experimental apparatus. Ideal for applications requiring ease of sanitation: These cubicles are made by sandwiching 1.5" thick sound attenuation material between two 0.1875" thick pieces of white PVC. The seams are sealed and critical seams are welded to provide additional strength. The smooth PVC surface resists staining and is easily cleaned. Each unit features a 28 V DC ventilation fan, two baffled air intake ports and a small notch in the doors frame for the cables.

General purpose applications: These melamine isolation cubicles feature almond colored 0.75" thick walls. Each unit features a 28 V DC ventilation fan, two baffled air intake ports, a magnifier “peep hole” style viewing port and a side port for feeding cables through. These cubicles are commonly used for enclosing modular test chambers and conditioned place preference chambers.

Ideal for self-administration or electrophysiology when extra head space is required: This extra tall isolation cubicle is constructed of white colored 0.75" thick melamine walls and is well suited for an operant test chamber equipped with an overhead swivel or commutator. This is our most popular cubicle for rat self-administration chambers.

Ideal for video recording from front perspective: A deep, general-purpose cubicle that is useful for video recordings with a face-on perspective. It is constructed of white 0.75" thick melamine walls. This window can be used to deliver illumination from the top or video the animal inside the cage from above.

Ideal for video recording from top perspective: This extra tall cubicle has blue interior walls and a 110 V fluorescent light, making this cubicle ideal for video recording using a top perspective. It also has a pull out drawer making it suitable for large chambers such as rat open field.
