Variable Speed Syringe Pump

PHM-100VS
Variable Speed Syringe Pump

(9 Speeds)

The delivery mechanism of this pump is similar to the PHM-100 with the difference being that a single speed is replaced by a nine speed motor. In addition the infusion time is selected by switches. This has the benefit of overdose safety protection since the internal circuit limits the infusion time to the preset value. The speed selections for this unit are 0.50, 1.00, 1.50, 2.00, 3.33, 5.00, 10.00, 15.00, 20.00 RPM providing up to 63 infusion rates when used with seven syringe sizes ranging from 1 ml to 50 ml. The infusion times are 0.1 to 99.9 seconds in 0.1 second increments. Thumb-wheel switches are used to set the infusion rate and time. The pump is activated by a standard MED-PC ® 28 volt output, or it can be manually operated.

PHM-100

PHM-100VSDT
Dose to Effect Variable Speed Pump with Digital Timer

This pump was designed for those unique applications where an animal is dosed to effect, for example, when working with anti-convulsant drugs. Just as with the PHM-100VS pump, thumb-wheel switches set infusion rate and maximum infusion time. The pump is manually activated from the front panel. At the same time, a digital timer starts timing the infusion. A small hand held button is used to stop the pump and the timer. This allows the researcher to focus on the animal while the infusion is being amlurately timed. The infusion time is displayed to the nearest 0.01 seconds. A calibration table showing infusion rates for popular syringe types is provided with the pump.
