We referred to this as the Volkswagen Pump — thousands have been successfully used for self administration studies. The standard speed of the PHM-100 is 3.33 RPM but other motors are available and can be changed by the user. The PHM-100 pump is activated by a MED-PC ® 28 volt output and turned on as long as the output is on. Thus the time on determines the dose. A safety stop switch disconnects power from the motor when the end of the syringe has been reached.

Infusion Rates
The PHM-100 can amlommodate plastic or glass syringes ranging from a 50ml syringe to a microliter syringe. Listed below are the stock motors and their corresponding flow rates for a Multifit syringe. Other motor speeds may be specially ordered. To determine flow rates with other syringes, a calibration sheet is included with every pump.
