Nose Poke

The standard nose poke key is quickly becoming a staple fixture in rodent operant conditioning chambers however, many researchers feel that standard nose poke devices lack fundamental elements that may be crucial to the conditioning process. By simply poking its nose into a recessed entry well, the animal does not receive any tactile feedback that might otherwise facilitate the shaping and learning process. With this limitation in mind Med Associates has developed the rodent nose poke response keys. And, similar in design to our line of pigeon response keys, our rodent response keys feature an opaque plastic response key that can be backlit to provide enhanced visual cues.
