"Wheel Running and Cage Climbing as Distinct Measures of Activity in Two Strains of Mice"
Dr. Gerry Herrera, Vice President of Research and Development at Med Associates, will be delivering a platform talk titled “Wheel Running and Cage Climbing as Distinct Measures of Activity in Two Strains of Mice” during the husbandry/management session at the upcoming annual meeting of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS). This talk will be given on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 8am at the AALAS National Meeting in Denver, CO. Dr. Herrera will describe a study being conducted at Catamount Research and Development in which a novel sensor that allows the quantification of climbing activity in mice is being developed. The climbing sensor is a modified wire cage top that measures when a mouse is climbing on it, and it will be made into a standard product offering that is part of the Med Associates Activity product line. |
