Steve Walsh
Sales and Graphics Arts Supervisor |
Steve was born and raised in St. Albans, Vermont. After graduating from high school, Steve went to work for a major local automotive parts supplier. He has been married for 23 years, and he and his wife have four children.
During his 25-year career in automotive parts sales, Steve gained extensive experience in wholesale and retail sales, as well as in mechanical assembly doing automotive repairs. Steve left the automotive parts business and joined Med Associates in 1999. At that time he served as the Production Manager, overseeing the manufacturing processes and scheduling production jobs. He was also involved in the final assembly of finished products. This position enabled Steve to learn the “ins and outs” of Med Associates’ hardware, and gave him a wide range of knowledge for all of Med Associates’ products. He eventually moved in to a part-time role in our Sales Office, and this quickly became his full-time responsibility.
Currently, Steve is the supervisor for our Sales and Graphics Arts department. On any given day, he may be found answering customers’ questions over the telephone, working with various groups within our production departments or in our Final Assembly and Test Department, helping to expedite orders, or working with our Shipping and Receiving Department to get systems out to customers quicker and more efficiently. Steve is also instrumental in preparing for exhibitions and conferences, and his broad experience within the company allows him to suggest procedures to help all of our departments to work together more efficiently. In the winter months, which in Vermont can be from the beginning of June through the end of May, Steve will most likely be found skiing down the slopes of Smuggler’s Notch, where he is known as a regular. Look for Steve in Med Associates’ booths the next time you are at a major scientific conference.
