Efficiencies in Waste Pan Usage

To ensure proper functioning of operant conditioning
chambers, cages and accessories must be cleaned on a regular basis. To aid in the task of routine cleaning of operant conditioning chambers, we have recently released plastic trays that are designed to fit under the grid floor of our standard ENV-007 and ENV-008 Modular Operant Conditioning Chambers for Rats.

These convenient plastic trays can be used by themselves as either disposable or reusable waste trays. In addition, they can be used as liners for the standard stainless steel waste pans that fit under the ENV-007 and ENV-008 chambers.

Give these trays a try. Having extra plastic trays on hand will simplify the task of cleaning between sessions. You can simply use a new waste pan for each animal, then at the end of the day, all the trays can be washed together, or discarded/recycled.
