Position Listing: Quality Assurance Coordinator

Position Location: St. Albans, Vermont

Position Description: MED Associates Inc. is seeking applications to fill a position for a Quality Assurance Coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring work activities of processing production personnel to verify conformance of activities to quality assurance standards and programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel:

  • Monitors processing information such as worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets, to verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.
  • Observes workers using equipment to verify that equipment according to quality assurance standards.
  • Assist management and engineering with devising sampling developing forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Assist management and Engineering with establishing programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
  • Ensures contractual quality requirements are reviewed, understood and communicated to all affected functions and personnel.
  • Monitors and assures that all personnel responsible for addressing customer complaints do so in a prompt and thorough manner to achieve the customers utmost satisfaction.

Performs other duties, consistent with the position, as required or assigned.

Qualifications: The candidate will have had a responsible Quality Assurance position with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility and has a minimum of 3 years in the Quality Assurance arena in a manufacturing facility and a proven record of developing successful Quality Assurance programs. Working Knowledge of “FDA 21 CFR Part 11 Compliance” and "Current Good Manufacturing Practices" (CGMP) is a definite plus. Good computer, Internet, writing and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will be a motivated team player with superior attention to detail, and be able to work independently and or with a cross functional group.

Education: Minimum, Associates degree in Engineering or other technical field.
