This 0.25" (6.4 mm) stainless steel rod extends 4.75" (12 .1 cm) from the center of the chamber lid. It provides an alternative response for the chaining experiments that are popular in many student laboratories. It could also substitute for a "pole jump" avoidance response. The ENV-111 is generally used with the ENV-008 and ENV-008-VP chambers.
