Operant Behavior Test Packages for Primate

This section features operant behavior test packages for primates. The modular test chair provides both animal restraint and a component wall made of standard modular channels to accept the same modules illustrated in the rat and small primate sections as well as components designed specifically for primates. The wall mount intelligence box serves a similar purpose for restrained large primates. As with previous packages, feel free to custom design a configuration using any of these packages as a guide. Additional items to consider include a programmable audio generator, syringe pump, or a tail aversive stimulation package.

Basic Behavioral Test Package—MDF SAC, Fixed Levers

This basic behavioral test package features a MDF sound cubicle and modular primate test chair with two standard
response levers and a 97 mg pellet dispenser for reinforcement. Order a MED-SYST-8 or MED-SYST-16 interface and software package separately to run up to eight or sixteen test stations, respectively.

Deluxe Behavioral Test Package—PVC SAC, Retractable Levers, Triple Stimulus Displays

This deluxe behavioral test package features a sound cubicle constructed of expanded PVC, two retractable levers, and two triple stimulus displays. It also contains a SmartCtrl™ package that supports up to eight inputs and sixteen outputs, and the dispenser features the infrared photobeam sentry. Order a MED-SYST-8 or MED-SYST-16 interface and software package separately to run up to eight or sixteen test stations, respectively.

Basic Behavioral Test Package—Large Primate

This package is designed to test a large monkey in a mobile restraint chair. This package does not include the chair, but it does include a large cubicle with entry ramp and wall mounted intelligence cabinet with modular operant components. Included are two standard primate levers, two triple stimulus displays, one 1.0" (2.5 cm) stimulus light, a 1 gram pellet dispenser, and a receptacle.
