Interface and Software

Med Associates can assemble an operant behavior test package to meet virtually any research requirement. The packages in the following sections are just a few of the more common configurations that we have assembled over the years for our customers. All use the versatile MED-PC® IV interface support and software. To simplify ordering, we have listed two interface and software packages below. For most applications, the MED-SYST-8 will run up to eight test stations and the MED-SYST-16 will run up to sixteen test stations (exceptions: Nine Hole Nose Poke Wall Test Packages, ANL-926 audio generators).

Both interface packages (MED-SYST-8 and MED-SYST-16) include an interface cabinet with a built in 28 V DC power supply. The MED-SYST-8 package includes an interface cabinet that is capable of housing up to eight interface cards. The MED-SYST-16 is capable of housing up to sixteen interface cards. This package also features our interface connection package which includes a PCI card to be installed in the computer, decode card, ribbon cable, power cable, and the most popular software used for behavioral testing: MED-PC® IV, MED-PC® to Excel, SoftCr™ and a corresponding MedState Notation™ code.
