Contact Lickometers

ENV-250
Contact Lickometer Controller

Both the inputs and outputs are 28 V DC controlled. Input impedances of up to 10 megahms are possible with a subject current of only 0.3 microamps.

ENV-250A

ENV-250A
Switching Contact Lickometer

The ENV-250A is a complete lickometer unit that will also switch a direct aversive stimulation output to the sipper tube spout. The switching relay is activated by 28 V DC ground. The lickometer input is automatically disabled when aversive stimulation is applied to the sipper tube. Aversive Stimulators and accompanying cables sold separately.

ENV-250S Lickometer Grid Switch

ENV-250S
Lickometer Grid Switch

This switch is offered as an alternative to the ENV-250A. The ENV-250A is a complete lickometer unit that will also switch a direct aversive stimulation output to the sipper tube spout. The ENV-250S Switch does not include the lickometer amplifier and must be used with one of the standard lickometers, ENV-250, ENV-250B or ENV-250C. It will switch each of the nine leads of the grid harness between the lickometer amplifier and the nine outputs of the ENV-412 Scrambler. This permits the delivery of scrambled foot aversive stimulation with any of the three lickometers listed. Lick data collection is momentarily interrupted during aversive stimulation delivery. For continuous data collection during aversive stimulation delivery it would be necessary to use one of the photo beam lickometers (ENV-251L or ENV-251M).

ENV-250B
Dual Contact Lickometer
ENV-250C
Triple Contact Lickometer

The ENV-250B and  ENV-250C contain two or three of the ENV-250 circuits respectively for lick preference studies in a single test chamber. These Lickometers are not suitable for aversive stimulation suppression.
