Food Intake Monitor

This modular unit features a food hopper with precision sensor to continuously monitor the weight of the food cup to within 0.1 grams.  Up to 16 sensors may be connected to a DIG-745ADC interface package (sold separately). A photobeam sensor is provided to indicate when the animal is eating.

Liquid Intake Monitor

This standard modular panel contains a liquid bottle, Lixit^® valve sipper and a precision sensor to measure the weight of the bottle and liquid. The output of the sensor connects directly to the input of the DIG-745ADC interface package (sold separately). A photo sensor head entry detector is provided to indicate when the animal is drinking.

16 Channel PCI ADC and Transducer Interface Package

This package consists of three components: the analog-to-digital converter (ADC), transducer interface module, and cable. The ADC PCI card may be installed in the same computer as the MED-PC^® IV interface card. The supplied cable connects this card to the transducer interface module, which may be installed in the MED-PC^® interface cabinet (space permitting) or in a separate SG-6080C table top cabinet. Each of the 16 transducer channels has its own tare control for taring the hopper weight at the beginning of the session. With this package, various analog signals may be measured and added to the MED-PC^® data file. The ENV-200FCW and ENV-251-LIM food and liquid intake monitoring applications use this interface.
