The ENV-601A combines the flexibility of the modular test chamber design used for rodents and birds with a proven cast acrylic chair design for small primates. This unit measures 10.0"W x 10.0"D x 20.0"H (25.4 cm x 25.4 cm x 50.8 cm) overall. The front panel consists of three modular channels that can hold any modular test chamber component such as speaker, white noise, tone generator, house light, clicker, etc. as well as modules designed specifically for primates such as levers, stimulus lights, dispensers and receptacles . The remaining walls and waist plate are 0.375" (9.5 mm) clear acrylic while the door is 0.22" (5.6 mm) clear polycarbonate. The animal seat is aluminum rod and the waste pan is stainless steel. The area under the table may be accessed for tail aversive stimulation electrodes, catheters, etc. through an open area below the door or through a 4.0" (10.2 cm) diameter hole in the lower rear wall. Above the waist plate, the entire back is open for easy access to drug lines for drug self-administration. This area can be blocked during testing with a clear moveable partition that may be placed as needed and secured with a variety of clamps (not included). Additional partitions, tables, and restraints may be custom-fabricated by MED Associates (sold separately).
