A variety of stainless steel modular grid floors are available for the modular test chambers. Each must be added separately when ordering. Select the unit that best meets your needs.
ENV-005
Stainless Steel Grid Floor
Use this grid floor for running rats and small primates in all ENV-008 and ENV-007 test chambers. It consists of nineteen 0.1875" (4.8 mm) rods placed on 0.625" (1.6 cm) centers in a white polypropylene frame. The floor is easily removed via two thumbscrews for cleaning. Add the ENV-005-QD quick disconnect harness for aversive stimulation and/or contact lickometer applications. For special mouse applications not suitable for ENV-307W chambers, use ENV-005A with ENV-005A-QD.
The thirty-six 0.125" (3.2 mm) rods are placed on 0.31" (7.9 mm) centers in a removable polypropylene frame. This floor is used for fear conditioning systems or custom applications using mouse components in an ENV-008 chamber. See ENV-307W for most mouse operant work.
This grid floor is most often used with pigeons. It consists of twenty-three, 0.188" (4.8 mm) rods, placed on 0.5" (1.3 cm) centers, in a removable polypropylene frame. This floor is not suitable for aversive stimulation applications, however a custom floor and harness could be built on request.
ENV-005ECB MED EasyClean™ Modular Test Chamber Base
This optional base is available for any modular test chamber. A large opening is provided under the waste pan to allow the wash water in an automatic cage washer to enter the animal work area from underneath. All accessories must be removed when placing test chambers in automatic washers.

This harness is used with all new ENV-008 and ENV-007 test chambers. It attaches to the rear of the chamber and remains in place even when the floor is removed. The DB-9 cable going from the harness to a grid floor scrambler or to a lickometer circuit must be ordered separately.
This harness is used with all new ENV-008 or ENV-007 modular test chambers when fitted with a mouse grid floor. The DB-9 cable going from the harness to a grid floor scrambler, or from the harness to a lickometer must be ordered separately.
This pan must be ordered separately for the Valu-Pak modular test chambers. One pan is included with all other ENV-008 and ENV-007 series chambers, however use this number to order additional waste pans. For high throughput studies where a clean floor and pan is critical, consider the ENV-005FPU-M (mouse) or ENV-005FPU-R (rat) Floor/Pan assembly. This unit is especially popular in fear conditioning freeze testing.
This wax-covered cardboard pan is offered as an alternative to the stainless steel pan where it is not practical to clean the stainless pan. Pan dimensions are 11.625" L x 9.5" W x 0.75" H (29.5 cm x 24.1 cm x 1.9 cm). Sold in packages of 25.
