Programmable Audio Generator

ANL-926
Programmable Audio Generator

The ANL-926 is a single-width module that contains a pure tone, white noise, and click generator under a single microprocessor controller and audio amplifier rated at 675 mW max into 8 ohms.  Install one ANL-926 in a standard interface cabinet for each test chamber in the system. The frequency and amplitude specifications given may be limited by the cage speaker.

Specifications:
Pure Tone:
Frequency: 10 to 35,000 Hz in 1 Hz increments.
Amplitude: 20 to 100 dB in 0.5 dB increments
± 1 bit (0.125 dB).
Rise/Fall time: 1 milliseconds to 1 second in 0.1 ms increments.
Duration: 1 millisecond to over 1 minute (65,535 ms) plus
continuous (timed by MedState NotationT).

White Noise:
Frequency: Broad band white noise selected by freq = 0.
All Others: Same as pure tone.

Clicker:
Frequency: 1 to 10 Hz
Rise/Fall: Disabled.
Amplitude: Fixed.
Duration: Same as pure tone.

ENV-230
Multipurpose Sound Generator

The ENV-230 is a convenient multipurpose sound generator that is able to produce three different types of sound; white noise, clicks and pure tones. Both the volume and duration of each sound are adjustable, one can select between 15 different frequencies:1 KHz, 1.5 KHz, 2 KHz, 2.5 KHz, 3 KHz, 3.5 KHz, 4 KHz, 5 KHz, 6 KHz, 8 KHz, 9 KHz, 10 KHz, 12 KHz, 15 KHz, 20 KHz. The ENV-230 may be used with the ENV-224AM, ENV-224BM, ENV-224CM, ENV-224DM, or ENV-324W, depending on the application and frequencies desired. If greater control over the frequencies, rise/fall time, and volume is desired, refer to the Programmable Audio Generator (ANL-926).

ENV-223
Multiple Tone Generator

The ENV-223 multiple tone generator uses four 28 V DC outputs to select between 15 different frequencies:1 KHz, 1.5 KHz, 2 KHz, 2.5 KHz, 3 KHz, 3.5 KHz, 4 KHz, 5 KHz, 6 KHz, 8 KHz, 9 KHz, 10 KHz, 12 KHz, 15 KHz, 20 KHz. It employs a fixed rise/fall so there is no speak click or pop when turning on the tones. The volume of the tones may be adjusted with a screwdriver. The ENV-223 may be used with the ENV-224AM, ENV-224BM, ENV-224CM, ENV-224DM, or ENV-324W, depending on the application and frequencies desired. If greater control over the frequencies, rise/fall time, and volume is desired, refer to the Programmable Audio Generator (ANL-926).

USB Sound Pressure Level Measurement Package

This calibration package offers a level of stimulus verification and calibration unavailable with sound level meters. Use it in operant conditioning chambers or with any startle systems. The package consists of a microphone, microphone amplifier, analog-to-digital converter, USB interface, and sound pressure level software application for either MAC or PC. The software display provides detailed measurements of either noise or pure tone signals. To replicate this package with traditional sound level measurement equipment would cost several thousand dollars. MED Associates has made this considerable R&D investment for you to produce this instrument.
