A 28 V DC mechanical relay is mounted on a 3/8 size modular panel with cable and Molex® connector. Connect this unit to any SmartCtrlT or similar output to produce an audible click each time it is activated. A single click has been found to facilitate shaping and improve response stability when used with response devices that have minimal or no auditory component such as pecking keys, nose poke holes, or ultra-sensitive levers. It is also useful as a secondary reinforcer with the virtually silent pellet dispensers currently offered. Use software control to produce click frequencies for discriminative stimuli other than pure tones. Maximum frequency is approximately 10 Hz.
