Home Cage Video Tracking System

Med Associates is pleased to offer the Home Cage Video Tracking System as part of our Activity product line. This system was developed around the increased need to monitor rodent activity in the animals’ home cage environment. Standard open field activity systems place the animal in a novel environment, and activity measured in this context often differs markedly from that observed in
the home environment. Thus, we have developed a system that allows the scientist to quantify locomotor behavior of laboratory animals in their home cages. These systems come complete with a sound attenuating cubicle, home cages, video camera, and computer interface card.

• Monitor locomotor activity in the animals’ home environment using video cameras.
• Simultaneously monitor up to four mice or two rats using a single camera.
• For even greater throughput, connect up to two cameras to a single computer to simultaneously monitor eight mice, four rats,
  or a combination of mice and rats.
• Record activity measurements at a temporal resolution of 33.3 ms.
• Record video directly to your computer.
• Near Infrared (NIR)
