The new seamless open field arenas allow for quick removal of the activity chamber, facilitating cleaning and sanitation. These arenas are designed to minimize the seams and crevices that are present in standard open field arenas, in which feces and urine accumulate making cleaning difficult.
The photobeam sensors that are used to measure movement attach directly to the corner supports and also allow the chamber to be quickly and easily removed. Additional arenas can be purchased to allow increased throughput with clean arenas for every animal.
