The starter package includes everything needed to run one station of rotational activity in medium sized rats (250 to 350 grams). Up to seven additional stations may be added to the MED-RSS to form an eight station system. See Roto-Rat Accessories on chart

MED-RRS-A Additional Roto-Rat™ Test Station
This package consists of the test station with encoder, leash, jacket, and bowl enclosure. The system is expandable to 16 or 24 by simply adding a MED-RRS-EXP for every 8 stations.
Rotational Activity Test Station • The rotational activity test station consists of a 21.5" x 15.75" (54.6 cm x 40.0 cm) heavy duty
base of 0.5" (1.27 cm) white polypropylene.
• A 19.5" (49.5 cm) high inverted “U” bracket runs over the test bowl measuring 18.0" (45.7 cm)
diameter at the top, 6.0" (15.2 cm) diameter at the bottom, and 6" (15.2 cm) deep.
• A stainless steel leash extends from the sensitive optical encoder to an animal jacket.
The encoder reports movements in either direction with a sensitivity of 5.625 degrees or 64
increments for one full rotation of 360 degrees.
