Med Associates is pleased to announce the addition of the Open Field Video Tracking System to our Activity product line.
The Open Field Video Tracking System was developed as a more economical alternative to our Open Field Activity System
(that uses infrared photobeams to monitor rodent behavior). Although the Open Field Video Tracking System cannot monitor
vertical activity, the mouse video tracking system has the added benefit of monitoring two mice per chamber. These video
tracking systems come complete with a sound attenuating cubicle, open field chamber(s), video camera, and computer
interface card. Two cameras may be connected to the same Fire-Wire® interface card.
System Highlights
Monitor locomotor activity using color video cameras.
Simultaneously monitor up to two mice or one rat using a single camera.
For even greater throughput, up to four cameras can be connected to a single computer to simultaneously monitor eight mice, four rats, or a combination of mice and rats.
Record activity measurements at a temporal resolution of 33.3 ms.
Video from one camera at a time is displayed on the computer screen for user
monitoring. The video may be recorded directly to your computer for later
review of subject behavior.
Med Associates' Activity Monitor software provides
measurements of ambulatory and stereotypic
behavior, including:
Total Ambulatory Distance in Centimeters or Inches
