Quick Change Test Chamber
The ENV-008-FPU modular test chamber includes a specially designed quick-disconnect floor unit that can be easily replaced between subjects to facilitate experimental throughput. The floor unit comes complete with a detachable floor pan that can be autoclaved, and the floor unit meets the Quick-Disconnect Grid Harness for aversive stimulation delivery (part numbers ENV-005-QD for rat or ENV-005A-QD for mouse) at the rear of the chamber. The front, top, and rear panels of the ENV-008-FPU chamber are constructed from clear polycarbonate, and the front panel is hinged on the left for easy removal of the subject. Right-hinged doors can be requested at the time of purchase.

Each MED-AFC-M1 or M2 package includes two floor/pan units; however, for high throughput, additional units should be ordered. The pan and grid rods, thirty-six 0.125" (3.2 mm) rods placed on 0.31" (7.9 mm) centers, are stainless steel and the rear floor support is white polypropylene and the front floor support is clear polycarbonate. These units can be autoclaved at pressures up to 66 psi and temperatures up to 220 degrees F (104 degrees C).
